Pastoral Center, Kumbakonam
"Go and teach ye all nations and make them my disciples" was the command of our Lord.Our Holy Mother Church is carrying on this duty in several ways. Vatican II has given further impetus to this endeavour.
To carry on this work of evangelisation, the Bishop constituted twelve pastoral commissions on the 16th April 1975. This Pastoral Centre is being used by the various commissions to conduct seminars, retreats, cultural and social service programmes. Preparations are afoot to establish a permanent biblical exhibition. It is hoped this exhibition will go a long way to help the commissions to carry on their evangelisation work more fruitfully.

Attending to the spiritual needs of our Catholics comes as the next priority. 2,10,313 Catholics live in 86 Parishes and 642 substations. According to the need of the people, Churches, Chapels, and community halls are constructed in the Parishes and sub-stations. Here the generosity of our donors are very much appreciated. We owe them our sincere gratitude and prayers. The Parish Priest, responsible for pastoral ministry in the Parish, endeavour their best in all spheres. The different pastoral commissions devote their interest and work towards the Parish by conducting seminars, prayer sessions, faith animation, catechism etc.
